Our Organic Raw Diet

This is a peek to our organic raw natural foods which we have daily since early 2009. We've been on raw foods since early 2007, but only switched to organic-grade in 2009. More details can be found here.

2 tsp Organic home-made yogurt mixed with (hydrated) 1/4 to 1/2 tsp Organic Chia Seed (Note: no longer havin' yogurt)

We're currently taking just the organic (hydrated) chia seed on its own now w/o the yogurt above

approx. 30 mins later after organic yogurt & organic chia seed... Assorted blended Organic Vegetables (15+ different veg) + Organic Herbs (approx. 1400ml) into a single blend.

The mixture below consists of... Organic Spirulina, Organic Carrots, Organic Wheatgrass Powder, Organic Nai Bai, Organic Celery, Organic Peas, Organic Kai Lan, Organic Alfalfa, Organic Red Cabbage, Organic Red/Yellow Capsicum, Organic Lettuce, Organic Xiao Bai Cai, Organic Dou Miao, Organic Beet Root, Organic Garlic, Organic Burdock Root, etc

2 to 2.5 MOUNTAIN tsp of organic blended veg each (Chewy doesn't get veg/fruits as cats can only digest digested veg directly from their prey's stomachs). This lil' amt in the bowl consists of 15+ different organic veg + herbs! Mom prefers us to have a lil' goodness of everythin'...

Mom firmly believes in feedin' us (dogs) organic veg as firstly, we're able to digest them & secondly, when wolves gorge on their kill in the wild, they ingest some amt of veg in the stomachs of their (herbivorous) prey too. As the meats we're havin' have all been ''cleaned up'', there's definitely no veg left in the animal unlike fresh kills in the wild. Plus, veg are full of pure goodness!

(have you heard of anyone dying of diseases caused by broccolis, lettuces, kale, apples etc? NO! oh btw our Mom & Dad are vegans & they're also into eatin' organic RAW foods like us, hehe)

Do purchase organic ones so that they're free of pesticides & GMOs. Blend them to a pulp (pictured above) as we can only digest them if the cellulose walls of the veg are broken down.

Followed by Organic Red Apples...

or Organic Green Apples!

approx. 45mins after organic veg & fruits... Organic free-range Egg (with membrane). Twice to thrice a week each. Shells are collected, wash & sun-dried to be made into Organic Eggshell Powder for our Organic Healthy Powder Supplement

mix it well before serving slurping

Followed by... Organic raw meats & bones & organs [Mom does only 1 LIGHT rinse to retain the natural oils & lil' amt of remaining blood in them. It's also impt to provide a gd amt of good quality fats to us as we're true carnivores unlike humans who will get clogged arteries. No carnivores will ever suffer from heart diseases resulting from eating meats & fats, which btw is the No. 1 killer for humans.]

Cut up into small pieces & add more (diamond) water in + 3/4 to 1 tsp Organic home-made Healthy Powder. More water doesn't do harm as most animals do not drive enough water & suffer as a result...

btw, Mom bought some cute new spoons for us! She spoon-feeds us so that it's less messy with our long fur on our muzzle (but Lauryn & Chewy eat on their own as they've clean muzzles unlike me & Cotton)

That's all we've daily! Mom believes in quality of ingredients rather than quantity. Besides, healthy raw-fed animals are ALWAYS hungry for more as raw foods are digested way faster than lets say......... commercial dog/cat foods like kibbles or can foods, or even Home-Cooked-Food (HCF).

We've always been fed one meal per day since we embarked on a raw diet since 2007. Even our treats are kept to a very minimal level, & when we do get it, it's together with our main meal as Mom doesn't believe in ''working'' our tummies too much as animals in the wild eat only one full meal (provided they've the time & opportunity to finish their kill & not get snatched by scavengers).

Also, feed at irregular timings. This is because Mom doesn't want our tummies to anticipate food at an exact time of the day, which in long term, will lead to vomitting of ''gastric juices''. When the stomach anticipates food at eg 12pm EVERYDAY, the body will automatically release the digestive enzymes to digest the foods. Hence, should you miss that timing at 12pm & say... feed at 2pm, we would have vomitted some ''biles'' already as the stomach would have already released the digestive enzymes at 12pm & expect the foods to be there, & yet no food came.

Thus, feed your dog at irregular timing instead so that the dog doesn't anticipate food, & the biological system wouldn't be so ''systematic''. Many people think us dogs are like humans, needing to feed at regular times of the day... but we're most certainly not your species...

Mom's always open to other ideas & beliefs on raw-feedin'. Currently, she's researchin' into feedin' us twice to thrice per week. Yea you read it right, twice to thrice PER WEEK. We'll get into i't as soon as we can as these stuff takes up alota time both on researchin' & as well as ''training'' our stomach muscles. It can take as long as 6 months too... we'll get into the details regardin' this form of feedin', soon......

Mom: For raw-feeders, do open up your minds in the world of raw-feedin' instead of stayin' stagnant. There's a whole lotsa stuff to learn out there! =]

Lauryn caught on camera b4 she's put with us

050211 Chewy wrestlin' Velvet's head

It's easy to snap 3 furry bitches together... but NOT with a kitten -__- this alone was tough as she kept leaping everywhere...

If you haven't already noticed, Chewy's coat is the combination of the 3 bitches' coat colors, heh.

Chewy - Our Gorgeous Calico Kitten

Chewy is here to stay. We've decided to keep Chewy for good as she wants to stay here with us. There were many problems with all her adoptions according to Mom... & she showed all the signs that she wants to stay here when Mom asked her......

So here she is! She's prettier now compared to when she first came in. Mom sent her for her spay on 310111 & the vet has estimated her to be at least 7 months old already! She's pretty tiny for her age! She's currently 2.5kg, bodylength (minus head & tail) is approx. 31cm... she hasn't grown any longer since then... has she stop growin already?

Chewy is a Calico kitten... Calico is not a breed, but a color which can be found in many breeds. Calicos are like Tortoiseshells, but with more distinctive patches of brown, & black, amidst white while Tortoiseshells color is more of a brindle messy style with little or no whites... There's rarely males in Calicos because of the color mutation, if so, they're sterile. Calicos are also known for their very unique personalities... all true to Chewy!
**Found her wandering around the streets on 101110 while at work. My bf went to get some stuff from the car & after he shut the door, a tiny lil' kitten dashed out from under!

She had a very tight red string (with a bell) tied around her neck. Fed her some food we've & removed the string. Cldn't bear to leave her behind as there were many other adult cats bullyin her...

Finally when we were abt to go home, we lost her & went searchin for her for a good 15mins+...

Brought her home & put her up for adoption. The 1st Potential Adopter (PA) had an adult male cat & somehow Chewy didn't seem to like cats anymore (maybe due to the constant bullying before).

2nd PA wanted only 2 months or younger kittens even tho' Chewy's color & tail (PA wanted a long tail calico) matched her ideal 2nd cat as a playmate for her adult female Calico Short-tail.

3rd PA purely only wanted her for his young daughter... as he didn't contact me again after I mentioned abt spaying Chewy (even when I offered to spay her b4 handling her to him).

& hence... we've decided to keep her since she LOVESSSS our 3 furry bitches so much ever since she step foot into our home. 2 or 3 more PAs contacted me to adopt Chewy... but I think she wants to be with us... & so here she will be.**

Enjoy our Chewy...

this is her zenning on her scratch-post

her yawning

the usual blur look

that's her no. 1 fav. spot on Mom's bed

Spayed on 310111. Vet has estimated her to be at least 7 months old already

2nd day after her spay

she's smiling... in her slp

3rd day after her spay. This is her 3rd fav. spot to rest/suntan

she fell asleep there right after Mom snapped this

Stay tune for more pix of Chewy if you like her! We sure do! She lovesssss us 3 furry bitches too! Oh, she's on Organic RAW meats like us too, minus the organic blended veg as cats can only digest digested veg (meaning fresh disgested veg from a prey's stomach).
