One of the pack has been limpin' since a month back. These dogs are prone to injuries & most of them will heal after a period of time... even those with REALLY horrible & HUGE sores around their body. So Mom thought this is was just another common injury...
However her right foreleg grew more & more swollen & she became thinner day by day. Again, there's nothing much our humans can do because these packs of strays are extremely smart & cautious of humans. They're NOT aggressive, but they're very street-smart & that's very important to ensure their survival out there as they can be caught & culled anytime if they're too friendly with strangers. This has happened MANY times with their young & naive pups. So overall, Mom's happy that they're not able to touch them despite feedin' them for 3 years already... at least they'd be safe out there from any humans with bad intentions.
But sadly today... this was what she saw... what has become of her (the best that Mom could snap given the amt of natural light at 6am).............
Mom knows most of you out there would be wonderin' if its due to a wild boar trap. But no...
because that would result in a clean-cut & not cause her to limp for abt a month & her leg to swell slowly. It could be that her leg has ''died''... bone tissues, nerves, muscles etc dead... & hence she chewed it off. Her leg was still intact when we saw her couple days ago. Today, her pack was not with her (they're always wandering around) & she could eat by herself on her own w/o any bullyings from them since she's deemed as the ''weakest link'' now.
Mom's hopin' to get her some help from some ppl. It's impossible for Mom & Dad to try capture her on their own given the situations, environement & condition of the dog, not to mention vet bills which would amount to thousands of dollars (should the vet declare that she need not be PTS-ed). Mom recently rescued a healthy pregnant stray Jack Russell Terrier (Gigi) & her vet bills & foods amounted to a total of SGD700+. What more about this mongrel in such a bad plight.
Mom would appreciate it if ppl could stop giving suggestions to her assif she's a noob... stuff that she herself knows & would definitely do it if it's possible & feasible. Sorry if you think we're too blunt, and with all due respect, please DO NOT ask Mom where the dog's residing... especially more so when you know you'll not be able to help at all. And if you are totally clueless about the entire situation, Mom would appreciate it if you could please keep your comments & assumption to yourself. Thank you.
Mom's not in the best of mood today after what she saw. I'll go be by her side now... let us all pray for this dog (and the thousands out there sufferin like her)...
